Updates / Release notes v1.21
« on: June 17, 2016, 07:22:02 PM »
Light Height
The lights now automatically change height at certain points of the grow. It doesn't change the gamely in anyway but visually it adds more immersion.

Light Cycles
When the plant's start budding the cycle of the plant changes. This change is so subtle and won't even be noticeable until your able to grow some of the top strains that take longer to grow.

Game difficulty
One of the problems players have found is that it is just too easy to progress through the game. It should now take longer now giving a longer play through.

With light movements I decided it would be a good idea to add the ability to crouch while in a room. Making it easier to access plants.

Field of view was an issue, should look right now.

Depth of field graphically takes the sharpness away from objects further away. There was none before but it is there now. I haven't added settings for FOV and DOF yet.

Minor bug fixes and changes.

Updates / Version 1.13 Avaliable
« on: December 30, 2015, 01:21:23 PM »
 8) I've already posted this out on the blog and sent everyone who's purchased iGrow game a direct message about this. I'm not going to go into detail on the forum like I have in the blog post. I thought it would be best to also post about it here. V1.13 contains a lot of the bug fixes that should have been done a long time ago. I am hoping that this has fixed the major bugs and should be pretty solid now. Not to say that there won't be any other bugs but since the update the only bug I have found was plant's may die just as it hit's 100%. Even though still showing the plant was alive but asks the player to  "remove the dead plant". This only happened to me once and might only be  under certain circumstances.

I'm hoping this new update will kick a bit of life back into iGrow. It certainly has changed my attitude towards the game. The truth is, I need your support on these forums to drive the game forward (if the game is to go forward from here). So sign up and make an account and tell me what you think, what you would like and where have i (if I have) gone wrong!

Suggestions / Update 1.2 Suggestions

A lot is possible but what do you think are possible way's to improve iGrow game. More importantly what features would you like integrated into the next version. Here's a few idea's I have had in mind.

Server structure
This was implemented before igrow game was single player. Have this implemented along side the single player instead, Adding thing's like  chat. Moving in this direction now could open up to many other systems like an online marketplace ,leader boards and other social interaction with other players.

Cross breading plants
Cross breading strains will give a lot more to the final stages of the game, once all strains are unlocked.

Hiring dealers
Instead of just being able to sell to dealers, buy flats to turn into your own personal dealers. With the ability to buy  furniture in the flat to increase the quality of the dealer that will work for you. This will  give more for you to buy in the game while also making you more money to expand.

These are just a few major ideas i could work towards  but what, if any, sounds the best to start working towards in the next version. Also what ideas if any do you have ?

Other Games / What is iDev up to now?
« on: January 21, 2015, 11:59:22 AM »
If you've been keeping up with my posts you might have already guessed i've not been working on igrow. Which i still believe is the right thing to do at this moment in time. That being said you might suspect i'm working on 2D android games. Actually i'm not at the moment.

iGrow and other projects i've worked on in the past with the wonderful dxstudio game engine has taught me a lot. The calling of dxstudio and 3D had been calling me and i could not resist going back to a project i started while i was working on iGrow. Igrow game is a unique game so this time i wanted to try my hand at something completly different, something which is a very popular genre right now. I'm working on a survival game! As always i'm keeping everything secret at the moment, nothing i have done so far is polished and i always like to have functionality developed before letting out details of what i have in mind.

I have a name already for the game, i will give more details and hopefully screenshots in the near future! Not much to get you excited at this point but i will officially announce the game when the time is right.

Game Development Questions / Android marketing
« on: November 19, 2014, 12:16:23 PM »
Since the release of igrow i've had time to think. As i love to work on games and hope one day i can turn it into my job, i decided to go back to android game development.  I spent a year of my free time building igrow. Even though i prefeer 3D games, i develop in 2D on android. I started off building anouther huge project in 2D originally. After a tip i was given though i've decided to make small games till christmas to build up a reputation.

So, i've decided to start this thread to talk about marketing android games. If you have any experiance in android marketing, then share your experiance here.

Introduce Yourself / The iGrow Game Dev
« on: October 25, 2014, 12:29:50 PM »
Let me get the ball rolling! So i'm the dev behind igrow game, the sole developer, designer and modeler. I've spent nearly 10 years coding in PHP. In my younger years i used to do a lot of game modding and at the age of 17 - 18 i started my first PHP MMORPG. For the past 3 or 4 years i have been developing 3D games and iGrow is first real project with the game engine dxstudio. I'll keep it short and end it there.
